Her face is hidden behind the blindfold she wears.

I'm quite intrigued now Colleen. Both the previous nudes have unusually small heads relative to their bodies and now this one almost feels 'headless'.

Is this designed to focus attention more on feminine sexuality rather than on intellectual aspects of the female? Or is there some other reasons? Or maybe there is no reason?? I'm curious now.

These are my way of working out what is happening to me.
I saved a life seven years ago and paid for it, heavily. I have a degenrating spinal cord condition. At the end of it, I'll be a quad.
I'm one smart cookie. IQ 140, Tau Sigma Natl Honor Society. My mind is not what is leaving me. Nope, I'm excruciatingly aware of what is happening, and as a home health care nurse for the last decade, I know what is coming.
I have the curse of too much knowledge.
These bodies are what is leaving. I suffer effects already, numb hands and toes.

I can understand you more now Colleen, reading your words, but though these paintings are a bit too rough for me...we all try to express our desire...

What do you mean by "rough"? I don't quite understand.

I meant the execution at first level, but though the expression, too, but perhaps it is only my view. The bodies are too harsh, standing there alone, but maybe you made it intentionally this way.

:]
OK. That helps.
They are meant to be rough. Not all of life is pretty. There are others who identify with this. I sold "I'm Feeling Primitive, Today" within two hours of her first show, to another woman.
I pretty much do stand alone; always have. I've always been the one responible for taking care of others. It can be lonely at the top, lol! ;]
I do understand that they are not for everyone, but I don't care at all for works like that of Thomas Kincade, so it's all subjective, and thank heavens, there is room for all of us!! :]
Room for all forms of expression, which I think you understand, if I understand the last line of your first post correctly. :]

Accepting being alone (it is not the same as lonely) make us strong...
Glad to hear your sale...
Yes, that sentence was the most important part of my comments and you understood it well Smile

Thank you fr your open reply Colleen. I am sorry to know that valour has such a harsh price in your life. But I am glad to know that through your artistic expression you can move in new ways, focus on new possibilities, create with fresh insight.

Your nude figures are bold and strong.

Best regards
Michael

Thank you, Micheal! These ladies will soon have an exhibition here in Portland, all their own. I'm curating a one night show, with the ladies of mine, and the erotic photos of another artist, and the lovely pastel pin up nudes of a very talented lady, a la Vargas. I'm really looking forward to it. :]
I was given the chance in exchange for a painting of mine, not encaustic, that the gallery owner wanted for his private collection.
I'm really pleased, and will report how the ladies do.
