This is one of my encaustic nudes. I love the way that wax allows me to render flesh; the transparency allows effects I couldn't achieve otherwise.

... sweet and puppet like, perhaps enhanced in this respect by the fore-shortened aspect. And as a dualistic image, my mind just won't let me not see the main body as the face of a cartoon dog. The small serene head does pull me back to the nude when I focus there again. I like the peace and serenity of the face and that dog is a fun angle too.
