You are so right enco! It is what I see beyond the positive and into the negative which matters most to me. For that reason ..this is the last set in my series.I feel I am wasting time making the positive part of the set:)! Realism (positive) is fine but I love the challenges in the negative..Somehow I think you will understand what I mean here..Thanks!

When viewed large I get almost 'lost' in the leaves..:-), .. not wasting time this time, I feel this as a very nice 'homage to Zebra leaves' ! ( not a joke , I am serious..)
Curious how you will look at them negative..!

Yes Brenda I got 'lost' in the leaves alot while painting them:)!Thank you for your compliments and it is a nice homage to the Zebra Leaves Brenda...Perhaps I should have said 'negative space' in my post...I enjoy finding images and forms in the negative space and it is difficult for me to see imaginatively while painting realism.

Thanks Sis..and I am started on the Negative..but..the cold wax workshop is 2 full days this weekend..then company pretty steady for 2 weeks..hope I can sneak in some painting time! Hard to do with overnight guests..my granddaughter will be with us 2 full weeks too..without her mom!:) Must be summer:)!
